Kendall Ford of Kenai has an immediate opening for a full time Service Advisor to come join our established service team.

  • Candidate must have superior verbal communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
  • Some service writing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of automobile repair/maintenance and the ability to operate many makes, models and types of vehicles, both manual and automatic often within restricted areas is required.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with Managerial and/or Service Advisor experience
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and organized manner.

Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record is required.


  • Interface with customers and service technicians to identify and sell vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Determine need for repairs and maintenance by vehicle inspection and questioning customer, and by researching service history and computer information.
  • Verify that work is properly diagnosed and performed.
  • Input and maintain vehicle and customer information in computer system.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional and timely manner with updates of vehicle repire status and costs.
  • Work calmly and efficiently under pressure, and with customers to solve problems.
  • Use telephone, Email and other means to communicate with customers and vendors.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Maintain professional appearance of work area.


  • Works primarily indoors.
  • Occasional work outdoors, which is exposed to ambient heat and cold, and to sun, rain and other weather conditions.
  • Some of indoors work is in a shop environment, with exposure to fumes, dust and elevated sound levels.
  • Frequent telephone use.
  • May spend greater than 3/4 of work shift with PCs and video display screens.
  • Standing/walking short distances: up to 3/4 of work shift on hard and soft surfaces.
  • Lifting: rarely, up to 40 pounds.
  • Carrying: rarely, up to 40 pounds, for up to 200 feet.
  • Hearing and speech capability adequate to converse with clients and other employees in person and by telephone.
  • Must be willing to work Saturdays.
  • Sight adequate to locate and identify vehicles and other employees, and to use proprietary computer software.
