Kendall Ford of Anchorage has an immediate opening for a Parts Driver. This is a full time position offering excellent compensation and benefits. Company driving experience and basic knowledge of automotive parts required, as is the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions. Driver License and acceptable driving record required.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:
Use a motor vehicle to deliver and pick up parts, supplies and equipment.
Pick up parts from storage.
Load and unload vehicle.
Complete delivery logs.
Monitor vehicle for maintenance or repair as needed; keep vehicle clean; fuel vehicle as needed.
Complete or assist in shipping/receiving tasks.
Stock parts and associated Parts tasks.
Additional tasks as assigned.


WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Works indoors, outdoors and within motor vehicles for extended periods during work shift. Outdoors work is exposed to ambient heat and cold, and to sun, rain and other weather conditions.
May spend up to two hours per day working with PCs and video display screens.
May occasionally use basic mechanic hand tools.
Must be able to answer and complete cell phone calls with hands-free equipment while driving.
May spend almost entire work shift driving a vehicle.
Standing/walking for short distances: up to 1/2 of work shift on hard and soft surfaces.
Sitting: up to 3/4 of work shift.
Carrying/Lifting: occasionally, up to 50 pounds for up to 200 feet.
Bending and twisting: frequently, primarily to enter and exit vehicles and load parts.
Reaching above shoulder height: Occasionally, to access materials on upper shelves.
Hearing and speech capability adequate to converse with clients in person and by telephone.
Sight adequate for driving in darkness and in adverse weather conditions, ability to reading parts labeling.
