Kendall Ford of Anchorage has an immediate opening for a lube technician. This is a full time position offering excellent compensation and benefits. Previous mechanical and lube tech experience is required. Must have ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions. Ability to communicate maintenance and vehicle repair needs with customers while providing excellent customer service. Good driving record acceptable for company insurance required.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:
Perform basic maintenance services on vehicles; includes repetitive mechanical tasks.
Inspect, replenish, drain and fill vehicle fluids and lubricants.
Perform vehicle inspections, maintenance and basic repairs including brakes and tire replacements, balance, and rotations.
Document work and hours per company policies and procedures.
Additional related tasks as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK CONDITIONS:
Uses: General mechanic's hand and power tools, specialty tools and other powered equipment that produces significant vibration and force.
Standing/walking for short distances: 3/4 to entire work shift on hard surfaces.
Sitting: Up to 1/4 of work shift, generally to drive vehicles and short amounts of time on PC.
Carrying/Lifting: frequently up to 50 pounds for up to 20 feet; occasionally up to 70 pounds for up to 20 feet(usually tire/wheel assemblies).
Pushing/pulling: frequently, up to 70 pounds force.
Bending and twisting: frequently, to access all areas and parts of vehicles.
Squatting/kneeling: occasionally, on hard surfaces.
Climbing: occasionally, ladders to ten feet.
Reaching above shoulder height: frequently.
Hearing capability adequate to interpret vehicle noises for diagnosis and proper operation, and to hear safety alerts sounded by other employees in the shop.
Sight adequate to perform duties, operate vehicles, and identify shop conditions and hazards.
